The Candy Explosion’s primary goal is to toss seemingly different musical genres onto a wall, then draw in people to marvel at how the sounds stick together so well. It is an endeavor that we three have have been familiar with for most of our lives, but now it is time to share with the community-at-large: music is as vital as breathing. Individually and collectively, we take this passion seriously, both as a livelihood, and as a duty to disseminate the notion that music is a powerful life-enhancing force. Securing a top position in the PPP competition would provide us with tremendous opportunities to articulate our vision in sharing this mantra.

We believe in utilizing our musical efforts to better the lives within our community, and have supported countless events through performance. We also seek to create a sense of solidarity within a cross-section of lives. Music is a soothing salve to the worries of our world.

The Candy Explosion is poised to move to the next level – not only as a viable musical talent, but as a force to extoll the benefits of music to the masses, and to facilitate the next generations who will be creating the future sounds of British Columbia. A PPP development award would enable us to move our music out of the confines of the studio, and onto the world stage.

Our trio already possesses the basic foundational tools – we currently seek the opportunities necessary to propel us into becoming a self-supporting recording and touring act.
